4Core Tactical Fiber Cable(tac-4)-TPU Outdoor Armored Fiber Cable
4 core tactical fiber cable’s (tac-4) with a flexible TPU jacket, Kevlar reinforcement and stainless-steel armor for repeated outdoor deployment, broadcast and emergency links.
Discover the 4 Core Singlemode Outdoor Armored Fiber Optic Cable, featuring a robust black TPU jacket for exceptional durability and high-performance connectivity. Ideal for harsh outdoor environments, this cable ensures reliable data transmission with resistance to elements and mechanical stress. Perfect for Outdoor field,tactical,military,and emergency repair fiber optic solutions. provides abrasion resistance, flexibility and protection against outdoor exposure.
This 4 core tactical fiber cable is designed for repeated deployment, retrieval and reliable communication in demanding outdoor environments. It combines a flexible black TPU jacket, Kevlar reinforcement and spiral stainless-steel armor to provide mechanical protection without making the cable unnecessarily rigid.
The Kevlar yarn carries tensile loads during installation and deployment, while the stainless-steel armor protects the optical fibers against crushing, impact and rodent damage. The TPU outer jacket provides abrasion resistance, flexibility and protection against outdoor exposure.
The cable can be supplied as 1,000-meter bulk cable or manufactured as a factory-pre-terminated tactical fiber cable assembly in customized lengths.
Key Features
* Four optical fibers in one compact cable
* Flexible TPU outer jacket
* Kevlar reinforcement for tensile strength
* Spiral stainless-steel armor for mechanical protection
* Resistant to crushing, abrasion and rodent damage
* Suitable for repeated deployment and retrieval
* OS2 single-mode fiber as standard
* OM3 or OM4 multimode fiber available upon request
* Bulk cable or factory-pre-terminated assemblies
* Custom cable lengths and connector configurations
* Optional cable reel configuration
* Operating temperature from -40°C to +85°C
*Built for Repeated Field Deployment
Temporary fiber links are frequently installed, retrieved and moved between locations. Ordinary installation cable may kink, become damaged or place excessive strain on the optical fibers when repeatedly handled.
This tactical fiber cable uses different protective layers for different purposes:
Kevlar reinforcement: carries pulling and tensile loads.
Spiral stainless-steel armor:protects the fibers from crushing, impact and animal damage.
TPU jacket:provides flexibility, abrasion resistance and outdoor durability.
Optical fibers: provide stable single-mode or multimode transmission.
When used with a correctly sized deployment reel and operated within the specified bending radius, the cable is suitable for repeated field use.
Typical Applications
* Live events, concerts and music festivals
* Outdoor broadcast and remote production
* Camera positions, OB vans, PPUs and flypacks
* Temporary venue and event networks
* Emergency communication and network restoration
* Industrial and harsh-environment fiber links
* Outdoor CCTV and security systems
* Military and field communication projects
* Mobile communication equipment
* Reusable fiber links installed on cable reels
* Bulk Cable and Pre-Terminated Assemblies
Bulk Tactical Fiber Cable
Bulk cable can be supplied on a drum for customers with their own termination capability. Standard bulk packing of up to 1,000 meters per reel is available, subject to the selected cable diameter and production requirements.
Pre-Terminated Tactical Fiber Cable
Factory-pre-terminated assemblies can be manufactured to the required length and connector configuration.
Available connector options include:
* LC/ SC/ST/FC/ODC/J599
For a four-fiber assembly, the cable can be terminated with connectors at each end. Breakout length, protective tubing, identification labels, dust caps and cable reel configuration can be customized.
Each finished assembly can be inspected and optically tested before shipment.

Why Use Stainless-Steel Armor?
The flexible spiral steel tube provides additional protection in situations where the cable may be stepped on, compressed, dragged across rough surfaces or exposed to rodents.
The armor is not intended to replace Kevlar as the tensile member. Instead, the two materials work together: Kevlar manages pulling forces, while the steel armor protects the fibers against external mechanical damage.
This construction provides greater mechanical protection than a conventional non-armored tactical fiber cable while retaining the flexibility required for field handling.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can this cable be supplied with ST connectors?
Yes. A four-fiber configuration can be terminated with four ST connectors at each end. LC, SC,FC,ODC,ODVA connector configurations are also available.
Is the cable suitable for repeated winding on a reel?
Yes. The TPU jacket and flexible cable construction are suitable for repeated deployment and retrieval. The reel must have an appropriate drum diameter, and the specified dynamic bending radius must be maintained.
Is this tactical fiber cable rodent-proof?
The stainless-steel armor provides substantially greater resistance to rodent bites than non-armored cable. However, no cable should be described as completely immune to every type of animal damage or installation condition.
Can damaged connector ends be replaced?
In many cases, damaged connectors or breakout sections can be re-terminated by qualified fiber technicians, provided sufficient cable length remains and the optical fibers pass inspection and testing.
Is 1,000 meters the only available length?
No. The cable can be supplied in bulk lengths or manufactured as a pre-terminated assembly according to the required project length.
